Our Private Beach

Your own private paradise awaits on the sandy beach area of our Charleston resort. Spend your days soaking up the sun and cool harbor breezes while the kids construct towering sandcastles. Enjoy some friendly competition with a game of volleyball, ladder golf, or cornhole. Or gather around one of the many fire pits and regale friends and family with stories of the day’s adventures. This perfect oasis is sure to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Please note the Charleston Harbor is a major shipping channel and swimming is not permitted off our private beach.

Pools with a View

No vacation is complete without a day, or two, spent relaxing poolside. Our resort has multiple pools for you to choose from, each with its own unique atmosphere and unmatched views of the Charleston Harbor just beyond its edge. Those looking for fun and group games or activities should plan to play at our 30,000-square-foot tropical deck for year-round comfort as well as a bocce court, life-size chess board, private poolside cabanas, fire pits, and access to our beachfront. Top off your experience here with a drink from Charleston’s only waterfront Tiki Bar.

If relaxation is what you seek, our year round heated cabana pool and its accompanying whirlpool is the ideal choice. Harborside also has its own seasonal outdoor pool overlooking the pier and private beachfront.

Pool Membership

Our exclusive Beach Club Pool Membership is a great option if you truly enjoy the relaxing resort lifestyle; private cabanas, poolside service, sprawling waterfront pool deck with two heated pools, hot tub, fire pits, and outdoor dining at the Tiki Bar. In addition to discounts at the Estuary Spa, hotels, food and beverage outlets, the Marina Store, and preferred status to our Mini Mariners children’s camp; Pool Members also receive complimentary entry to our resort hosted events like Party at the Point, Oysters on the Point, and exclusive pool member social events. You won’t find bait or tackle here. The Marina Store at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina is all eclectic, offering everything from the finest apparel and footwear to home décor and handcrafted items by local artists and jewelry makers. Games & Activities

No matter the season, you'll never be at a loss for fun things to do when staying with us. Compete against family and friends in a game of bocce, cornhole or ladder golf. You can even show off your skills in a tournament.  

Water Taxi

Want to explore historic downtown Charleston for the day? Our resort offers two convenient ways for you to get there. Catch the Charleston Water Taxi from our marina for a relaxing trip across the harbor to Waterfront Park and Aquarium Wharf stops. You may even see a dolphin or two along the way! The water taxi is OPEN for the season and leaves from Dock A beginning at 9am - 7pm. The cost is $13.00 one way or $17.00 for an Adult all-day pass. Children all- day passes are $15.00.  Two day passes are also available for $30.00 Adult and $24 Children.  Children ages 3 and under are free.

Water Taxi is open from 9am-8pm, but last round trip leaves from Dock A at 7pm.  

Option number two for getting downtown is our hotel shuttle which picks up and drops off in front of Key West Hats on North Market Street. The shuttle runs year-round seven days a week:  please check the shuttle schedule located at the Front Desk for times. 

We do not offer an airport shuttle.  

We love our pets, however no animals allowed on our shuttles.  

Ice Skating

This season, South Carolina is getting its own little slice of the North Pole as Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina announces its first-ever synthetic ice skating rink and Winter Wonderland experience. The 100% recyclable and non-toxic rink also has no energy costs associated, making it a “green” alternative to traditional ice rinks.

Opening Thanksgiving Day, ‘Ice Skating on the Point’ will delight guests of all ages throughout the holiday season along with fun activities and festive treats. The rink will be open to hotel guests at The Beach Club and Harborside as well as local residents.

To help warm up to Charleston’s dropping temperatures, the Winter Wonderland will offer cozy rink side fire places for rent, delicious hot chocolate and gourmet s’mores kits designed to be cooked over the surrounding area fire pits. A donut-making station will also fill hungry elves in addition to snacks.   Fun is designed for the whole family with jump castles and corn hole.

Team Building

Break down barriers, build camaraderie, and really get to know your team outside of the boardroom. The Recreation Team can customize creative team building exercises and tournaments to fit any group or gathering. Sink or swim with a boat-building regatta, develop leadership skills and improve communication with organized scavenger hunts, or build memorable relationships with a day of sailing. When we run the fun, it is sure to be a great time had by all. We will arrange a team building experience tailored around your goals and interests.

Mini Mariners Camp

Kids Camp: Closed for the Season 

Relax. Send the little ones off while you spend some well-deserved time to yourself. Our Mini Mariners Camp is offered seasonally and embraces children from the ages of 5 to 10 with a variety of lively and educational outdoor activities. Games, team sports, arts and crafts, crabbing, swimming, and water slides are everyday pastimes we offer to keep your mini mariner amused throughout your stay.

Treat of the Day

Make your vacation a little bit sweeter with our Treat of the Day, served daily at 4:00pm on the Beach Club pool deck Memorial Day through Labor Day. From flavored punch to summertime snow-cones, popcorn to chocolate brownies, cinnamon pretzels to cotton candy, it’s always exciting to see what the Treat of the Day is!

Sunset Celebrations

Celebrate the week with a beautiful sunset over Charleston Harbor. Our Sunset Celebrations include marshmallow roasting, beach games, and fun. Be sure to make a wish upon a shell as the sun sets!

 

Sailing Camp for Kids

The Charleston Harbor Resort does not book Sailing camps, please contact the College of Charleston.

Sailing Camps for kids and private lessons are offered by the College of Charleston Sailing Association which is located just steps away from The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina. The youth sailing camps are designed to teach your child the basic fundamentals and introduce them to the amazing sport of sailing. The C of C sailing instructional staff will conduct teaching on the water aboard our brand new J/22 fixed keelboats.
